Tuesday 25th April - walk **** Circuit from Felixstowe Ferry - Sunny periods.

With the chimney sweeps coming at one we stayed at home in the morning, managed my exercises indoors today as a tad chilly outside with some light rain, Mag did some pottering in the garden:) Then with the chimney swept and lunch eaten we drove to Felixstowe Ferry for an afternoon walk with some really interesting clouds, black in places but it did not rain, in fact we even got a little sunshine:) We set off on the sea path past the golf course watching a yacht head out of the new entrance to the River Deben with apparently the worlds third large container ship slowly headed into Felixstowe docks with loads of golfers out too! Then over to Tomlin bank not too muddy today with some lovely small trees, some in bloom still, the best being a vibrant apple tree with stunning pink flowers, the bees were loving it too:) There was even an egret on the golf course with a kestrel overhead with loads of gold finches, Mag saw a skylark too:) We then continued along the Deben path to the Ferry boatyard, I can never get enough pics of this area! Back to the van stopping at the Spar to buy a local paper as I have a pic in and home for a welcome cuppa and cake:)
